OK so when your team loses that’s one thing, but when the Knicks lose 3 out of four games that’s not cool, especially when two of those games are to Brooklyn and Jeremy Lin. C’mon Knickerbockers get real!
Before this ‘run’ they were 8-1. Now they’re 9-4, 5-0 in MSG and 4-4 on the road. WHY NY? 6-0 at the start of the season and since then have lost to Memphis, Houston, Brooklyn and Dallas. Now Amar’e is still unavailable, but you can’t complain about a lack of strength down low when you have Marcus Camby, Tyson Chandler and Rasheed Wallace in your roster. I can’t blame these three for lack of trying especially Chandler, who isn’t known for getting it done on the offensive end but last night he had a double-double (28 points and 13 rebounds.).
Carmelo Anthony has been on fire, Raymond Felton, JR Smith, Ronnie Brewer, Steve Novak and JKidd have been really lighting it up from deep lately but whats up?
Sorry Mike. Brendan’s gonna be saying ‘I told you so.’ for ages but Mike Woodson’s offence is the problem. Of course you’re going to lose a few blowouts (Houston) but some of this iso stuff should be left on the streets. The Knicks had already beaten the Mavs this season but when it came to the last shot Melo got the ball in an iso situation and missed the shot with plenty of time to work an opening. I mean the Knicks are arguably the best 3-point shooting team in the league so what’s the problem with dishing the ball to Stevie Novak or JR in the corner? Nah we gots to give the ball to Melo (Who has been great this season.). Stupidity. Lack of common sense, call it what you like but the lack of basketball IQ on the coach’s part was the key to the Knicks’ downfall not the guys on the court. Well in the Dallas and Brooklyn (Same situation, Melo missed the shot at the end of regulation, the Knicks lost in OT.).
I’m not saying ‘FIRE WOODSON’ because I really like the guy but as my former coach Tim Coyne always said ‘The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.’
